Rosewood Hires Advisers for Buyout Bid: Rosewood Financial Partners, a Dallas investment partnership that recently offered to buy First Executive Corp., said it hired Chase Manhattan Bank to help find and structure bank loans for its bid for the Los Angeles-based life insurer. Rosewood wants to borrow about $575 million, which would be poured into Executive Life Insurance Co., First Executives’s primary subsidiary.
