ARCHBISHOP ROGER MAHONY
The overriding object of any institution, any organization, any bureaucracy, is twofold--to perpetuate itself and to increase its powers. Things change very little. Perhaps that is why Archbishop Mahony reminds me so strongly of Cardinal Francis Spellman in New York City.
