Tohru Kanbe has been appointed president of Calsonic Climate Control Inc. in Irvine. He succeeds Tadashi Ohdate, who was named to the newly created position of executive vice president of Calsonic International Inc., the Irvine holding company for Tokyo-based Calsonic Corp. Before joining Calsonic, Kanbe was vice president of engineering for Nissan Research and Development Inc., and vice president of engineering at Nissan Motor Corp. in Carson. Calsonic Climate Control supplies air-conditioning systems for Nissan and Subaru cars sold in the U.S.
