Instructor to Attend Leadership Program

A Mt. San Antonio College instructor for the hearing-impaired has been selected to participate in a weeklong international leadership program in Phoenix from March 31 to April 6.

Kirsten Gonzalez of Claremont will attend the Leaders program sponsored by the League for Innovation in Community Colleges and the American Assn. of Women in Community and Junior College.

Gonzalez has taught oral interpreting, English and guidance classes to hearing-impaired students at Mt. SAC for 10 years. She has a master’s degree in counseling from Cal State L.A., is active in professional and community organizations, and has been hearing-impaired from birth.
