Preliminary Injunction Continued: Maxicare Health Plans Inc. said the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana continued until June 30 a preliminary injunction barring health-care providers from directly billing patients for debts payable under contract with Maxicare. The health maintenance organization filed for federal Chapter 11 protection in March, 1989. The Chapter 11 filing suspended payments on debts incurred by Maxicare prior to the filing, including payments it owed doctors and hospitals for treating Maxicare members.
