Distributed Logic Corp., the Anaheim computer products company, posted a net income of $18,641 for fiscal 1989, contrasted with a loss of $2.2 million for the year before.
Revenue for the year ended Oct. 31 rose slightly, to $51.5 million from $51.2 million. For the fourth quarter of 1989, however, the company reported a net loss of $15,675, contrasted with a loss of $1.9 million for the period in 1988. Revenue increased 19%, to $13.5 million from $11.4 million.
Glenn C. Salley, Distributed chairman and chief executive, said net income was adversely affected by interest expense, foreign currency translation losses and unfavorable international tax charges.
“Although this resulted in a net loss for the fourth quarter, we were profitable for the full year, which is a significant improvement over the prior two fiscal years,” he said.
