General Automation Inc.: The Anaheim computer company reported net income of $23,000 for the second fiscal quarter, contrasted with a loss of $989,000 for the corresponding period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 declined 19%, to $8.3 million from $10.2 million in 1988. For the first six months, the company’s net income totaled $77,000, contrasted with a loss of $1.9 million a year earlier. Sales dropped 13%, to $17.3 million from $19.8 million. Leonard Mackenzie, GA’s vice chairman and president, attributed the sales decline to “an exceedingly poor business climate throughout our industry during the latter part of 1989.”
