Downey and Out: Former talk-show host Morton Downey Jr. filed for bankruptcy protection last week in New Jersey with a list of creditors that includes banks, Neiman Marcus, a limo company and the famed 21 Club restaurant in New York. Downey says he has $6.92 million in assets--far more than his $2.39 million in liabilities--but says the assets include $6.3 million in commissions, fees and syndication rights that are disputed and not liquid. He also listed $500,000 in real property, $320 in the bank and $100 cash on hand.
