TI Develops 16-Megabit Chip: Texas Instruments said it has produced an experimental super-memory chip able to store 16 million bits of information, the second such computer component to be unveiled in the United States in a week. The semiconductor manufacturer, a leading producer of chips for dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, said it expects to begin commercial production within 12 to 18 months.
