Michael A. Pentopoulos has been appointed president...

Michael A. Pentopoulos has been appointed president and chief executive of I-Flow Corp., an Irvine maker of multiple-drug infusion systems. He succeeds Eric Brown, a founder of the company, who remains a member of the board of directors. Pentopoulos was previously founder and director of Iatromed Inc., a medical device company in Phoenix, and founder and chief executive of Orthomatrix Inc. of Dublin, Calif. He has also been responsible for planning and budgeting for the Howmedica division of Pfizer Inc., and was later the vice president of finance and administration at Intermedics Orthopedic Inc.

In addition, Henry T. Tai and John F. McNeil were named to two vacant seats on the I-Flow board. Tai, a founder of the company and a practicing cancer specialist, is rejoining the board. McNeil is president and chief executive of Allstar Microsystems Corp. of Irvine. He is a founder and former officer of Wheelabrator-Frye Inc.
