Woolworth Corp.: Profit for fiscal 1989 rose 14% to $329 million, on revenue of $8.82 billion, an increase of 9% from a year earlier. The New York-based retailer said specialty store revenue increased 19% and general merchandise revenue increased 3.1%. Domestic revenue rose 9.9% and foreign revenue increased 8% compared to a year ago. Woolworth had a net increase of 335 stores during the year.
