TOKYO — The Tokyo Stock Exchange’s leading index shifted from dramatic recovery back to sharp decline today as drops in the bond market and the yen’s value discouraged investors.
After a two-day rise, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 762.41 points, or 2.2%, closing at 33,829.58.
