Treasury to Sell 53-Week Bills: The Treasury Department announced that it will auction $9.75 billion of 52-week bills next Thursday to raise $700 million. The bills will be sold in minimum face amounts of $10,000 and in higher multiples of $5,000, the department said. Bids must be received by the Bureau of Public Debt no later than 1 p.m. EST Thursday.
