NATION : GIs Safe After Forced Landing

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. —
An Air Force cargo jet with 26 people aboard lost partial use of its landing gear during takeoff from Panama today and landed at Robins Air Force Base, military officials said.
The C-141 jet was “bringing military people out of Panama, back to their bases,” when it lost its right main landing gear upon takeoff at Panama’s Howard AFB, said Cliff Tyler, chief of internal information at Robins.
The plane landed at Robins around 3:45 p.m.
