Writer Claims Credit for ‘Working Girl’: Script writer Patricia Cheryl Everett filed suit against 20th Century Fox Film Corp. in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday, claiming that the company breached an implied contract when it based the 1989 movie “Working Girl” on a script she submitted to the studio called “My Secretary.” Fox denies the claim.
