Illinois Company Buys 19% Stake in Beta Phase

Molex Inc. of Lisle, Ill., has acquired 19.4% of Beta Phase Inc., the Menlo Park, Calif., manufacturer of electronic components that has granted Molex rights to some of its electronic connector technology.
The agreement grants Molex a license to electronic connector technology Beta Phase develops before Jan. 31, 1996. It also grants Molex a two-year license to sell electronic connectors based on Beta Phase technology in countries other than the United States, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
