Zeke’s Heap

I take my hat off to Timothy Dundon (“Zeke’s Heap,” Metro, March 9) for doing--in a big way--what all homeowners should be doing: cultivating a compost pile. My tiny one (about 30 cubic feet) helps make my vegetable garden more productive, besides recycling kitchen garbage, grass clippings, and redwood shavings and sawdust. My goal is to have the best compost pile in Westwood (it might be the only one).

Dundon should be praised and emulated, instead of being hounded.
