Countywide : 5 Foes in Supervisor Race Will Debate
Five of the six candidates running for Supervisor James Dougherty’s seat will debate eastern Ventura County issues on March 29.
The first forum in what is shaping up as a heated race for the Fourth District seat will begin at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room of Mountain Meadows School, 4200 Mountain Meadow Drive, in Moorpark.
The forum is being organized by the Moorpark College Political Science Department in conjunction with an urban studies course, instructor Jerry Straughan said.
Scheduled to appear are Simi Valley City Council members Bill Davis and Vicky Howard, Ventura County Community College District Trustee Tom Ely, former grand jury foreman Bob Pegg and Moorpark Planning Commissioner Glen Schmidt, Straughan said. Harold Fick is not attending the event, he said.
