Isaacson was honored at her home while the others were presented their awards Tuesday at the Board of Supervisors meeting. The commission noted that Wieder was the first woman to be elected to the Board of Supervisors in its 100-year history.

“I am very honored to receive such a distinguished award, and I am happy to receive recognition for being the only woman who has served on the board,” she said. “But I really hope that I will certainly not be the last.”

It was the first time that the commission has made the awards.
