West Hollywood : Building Renovation OKd
The City Council approved the renovation of a city-owned office building despite opposition from some residents.
The two-story building, at 7362 Santa Monica Blvd., will require $208,759 in improvements, including fire sprinklers and an elevator. The city recently bought the building for $426,000.
Earlier, the council decided to rent the first floor to the city-supported Adult Day Health Care Center. The second floor was set aside for office space.
Resident Ed Riney described the city decision to buy and upgrade the building as an “absolute waste of money.”
