Saltwater Flushes

Re: “Low Water Toilets” (March 11): All Americans should look to their bathrooms not just for drought relief, but for conservation of this rare resource (even on rainy days).

However, a look to the Pacific Ocean and one can envision saltwater-operated toilets. This has been mandatory for about seven years here in Avalon. One does not have to be a M.I.T. graduate to realize how substantial a saving this would be, especially in a drought cycle.
