Nation IN BRIEF : NATIONWIDE : Attacks on Buses Bring Reward Offer

Greyhound Lines Inc. offered $100,000 for information leading to convictions for shooting at buses and terminals during the drivers’ strike. Since the strike began March 2, 21 buses and two terminals have been attacked. A company official said it would not resume talks until it had “hard assurances” from the union that the violence would stop. An official of the Amalgamated Council of Greyhound Local Unions, said the firm was using the issue as a “smoke screen” to avoid talks.
