WESTMINSTER : Herbicide Spill Closes 2 Streets
A low-grade herbicide spilled Wednesday from a broken hose on a tanker truck at Bolsa Chica Road, authorities said.
The spill occurred at 2:15 p.m. and caused the closure of several roads in the area, including the Bolsa Chica off-ramp at the San Diego Freeway until 6:45 p.m., Westminister Police Lt. Bob Burnett said.
The herbicide, called Surflan, was found to be innocuous, he said. No one was injured.
