Com Systems Buys TMC: The regional long-distance telecommunications company said it completed a $22-million acquisition of Santa Barbara-based TMC Communications. “The acquisition of TMC solidifies our position as the largest regional inter-exchange (long-distance) carrier in the Western United States,” said Rex Licklider, Com Systems’ chairman and chief executive. He said the company contemplates additional expansion through acquisition this year.
