Share

President Bush has appointed Orange County political consultant Eileen E. Padberg to the Small Business Administration’s National Advisory Council.

The council is a liaison between the agency and the small business community. Its members evaluate current SBA programs, investigate small business issues and direct local small business advisory councils.

Padberg, who lives in Laguna Niguel, has been involved in public affairs and political consulting for more than 15 years. She managed Clint Eastwood’s successful 1986 campaign for mayor of Carmel and directed the 1988 George Bush presidential campaign in California, Nevada and Hawaii.

This year she is managing the lieutenant governor campaign of state Sen. John Seymour (R-Anaheim) and the campaigns for Orange County Dist. Atty. Michael R. Capizzi and Sheriff-Coroner Brad Gates.
