Phantom of the Paradise (Channel 5 Monday at 1:30 a.m.): This 1974 release is a rock “Phantom of the Opera” with a touch of Faust thrown in for good measure by Brian De Palma. Sam Elliott stars as a dashing yet reflective Southern California lifeguard on the wrong side of 30 whose encounter with Anne Archer at a high school reunion proves pivotal.
