WORLD : 5 Dead in Hindu-Muslim Clashes

NEW DELHI —
Clashes between Hindus and Muslims today left at least five people dead in the western state of Gujarat, according to police and news reports.
The latest deaths brought to 60 the total number of people killed in Hindu-Muslim violence this year in Gujarat.
Two people were stabbed to death and two others suffered knife wounds in Ahmedabad, the largest city in the state, an officer at the State Police Control Center said. Three more people were killed in Baroda, the United News of India said.
