$NAKES: Why would someone steal a snake (B1)? Because, says snake breeder Richard Dunn, there are enough people fascinated by the reptiles to drive prices as high as $10,000 (for an extremely rare Bollins python). . . . You don’t pet these pets, Dunn concedes, but there’s no fur to make you sneeze, and no one has to feed them while you’re away. He adds: “I know lots of people have snake hang-ups, but there’s much more to fear from the neighbor’s pit bull.”
