Malibu : Anti-Cityhood Suit Pulled
Real estate broker Jack Corrodi has dropped a lawsuit aimed at blocking a June 5 Malibu incorporation election.
Corrodi, long a foe of cityhood, had filed suit against Los Angeles County and the Local Agency Formation Commission, which oversees the transition of communities to cities, challenging their approval of the election.
Besides voting on whether Malibu becomes a city, voters also will choose a five-member City Council from among 30 candidates who entered the race last week. Corrodi is among the candidates. He has said that he hopes to use his visibility during the campaign to help defeat cityhood.
