GARDENING : GARDEN NEWS : Villa’s Open House

Many readers wrote after the Los Angeles Times Magazine published photos of Villa Narcissa (on June 18, 1989), that remarkable garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. They wanted to know if it is possible to tour the Mediterranean gardens that surrounded the house. The answer was, unfortunately, no, because it is a private residence.

On April 21, however, you can, because it will be the site of a fund-raising event for Friends of French Art. The cost of $55 includes touring the extensive gardens and a picnic prepared by a Bordeaux chef. Call (213) 377-4444 for further information and reservations.
