Gasoline Tax

In commentary to your article (Part A, April 6) on gasoline “user fees”:

If the Bush Administration’s “No New Taxes” policy considers taxes on anything but income to be “user fees,” then let’s scrap those income taxes all together and replace them with “worker fees.” Then Bush could claim “No Taxes Period.”
