South Gate : Southern Ave. to Get Resurfacing, Lighting
The South Gate City Council has approved a $685,300 street improvement project for Southern Avenue, a 2.8-mile route that runs east and west through the community.
Construction work is expected to start near the end of the year. It will include resurfacing, installing street lights and constructing an irrigation system for a future greenbelt. Federal, state and city funds will be used.
