SCEcorp: The Rosemead parent of Southern California Edison said first-quarter net income rose 45% to $172 million, while revenue advanced 3% to $1.59 billion. The firm said the increases are principally the result of a California Public Utilities Commission decision that altered Edison’s earnings pattern, shifting some earnings to the first, second and fourth quarters from the third quarter, with no impact on annual earnings.
