REAGAN’S FALL

Share

Contrary to the general assertion of “Reagan’s Fall From Grace” (by Martin Kasindorf, March 4), Mr. Reagan does not have a serious public perception problem. He is the only President since John F. Kennedy who has actually been a leader. Mr. Reagan’s personality and his commitment to his view of the soul of America seem to have provided a beacon to encourage humanity in its cataclysmic reordering of the communist world. Whether or not he got all the details right, Mr. Reagan’s belief in American democracy and the strength of this nation allowed the United States to again be a world leader and to demonstrate in many spheres the value of free markets, free speech and individual freedom.
