HemaCare Corp. Begins Medical-Test Division

HemaCare Corp., a Sherman Oaks company that provides blood-related services, said it invested $460,000 to start a new division that will provide medical tests in the areas of immunology, rheumatology, endocrinology, hematology, infectious disease, microbiology and general chemistry.

The company, which reported revenue of $5.77 million in 1989, said it expects the new division will increase its revenue by 50% within 18 months.
