From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The Tennessee Valley Authority posted a $10,000 reward for the arsonist who set fire to the home of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s chief inspector at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. The fire gutted the Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., home of Ken Jenison on Thursday after he received four threatening phone calls, and Hamilton County investigators ruled arson caused the blaze. The NRC said it believes the fire was retaliation for Jenison’s work at Sequoyah, a nuclear power plant plagued by safety violations and owned by the TVA.
