Intel Sues Advanced Micro Devices: Intel Corp. said it filed a complaint alleging that Advanced Micro Devices has infringed microcode copyrights on the Intel 80287, an Intel math co-processor. The suit continues a long-standing dispute between the two firms that started over Intel’s refusal to allow AMD to make a licensed copy of Intel’s popular 80386 chip used in many personal computers.
