Schwartz Is Winner at Speedway Racing

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event Friday in front of 4,421 in the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Steve Lucero of Riverside was second, Alan Christian of Murrieta was third and Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was fourth.

Dukie Ermolenko of Cypress won the eight-lap handicap main event. Oxley was second, Lucero third, Mike Faria of Riverside fourth and Shawn McConnell of Brea fifth.
