Actress Raquel Welch was named Woman of the Year and 7Up/Royal Crown Bottling Co. chief executive officer Bart Brodkin was given the Corporate Friend Award by the Hispanic Women’s Council, which fosters education, career and leadership-development training. The group also presented awards to Pacific Bell engineer Dulce Cordero and Los Angeles County Commission for Women Chairwoman Maria Feliciana Avila at its gala dinner.
