U.S. Selling Stamps by Phone: The U.S. Postal Service announced that it has set up a nationwide stamps-by-phone system, operating 24 hours every day. Americans can now order postage stamps by phone--all day, every day. Customers can buy stamps using major credit cards by calling 1-800-782-6724, (1-800-STAMP-24). Stamps will be sold at face value plus a $3 service charge, per order, and mailed to the buyer. They will be available in sheets of 50, rolls of 100 or 500 and booklets. The service also will sell post cards and stamped envelopes.
