Release of 2 American Hostages by Lebanese Shiite Kidnapers
I want to commend you for your tough editorial stance (“It’s Best to Say: The Deal Is No Deals,” April 24) against any sort of moderation in the “no deals” policy which this Administration has (apparently) decided to stick with in the Lebanon hostage issue.
While everyone can sympathize with family members who have suffered the captivity of their loved ones, we must not lose sight of the fact that granting concessions, even relatively minor ones, to terrorist kidnapers only makes the world a more dangerous place for us all by encouraging such barbaric acts in the future.
