NATION IN BRIEF : NEW YORK : Brooklyn Jury Gets Racial Slaying Case

The case against a white teen-ager accused of being the ringleader in a racial killing in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn went to the jury. Keith Mondello, 19, is accused of leading white youths last August when four black youths were surrounded in the mainly Italian-American neighborhood. One of the four blacks, Yusuf Hawkins, 16, was shot to death. Joseph Fama, 19, is the accused triggerman. His case went to the jury Monday.
