Mazda Motor Corp. said today it will begin exporting cars to the Soviet Union in June with a shipment of 210 Mazda model 323 cars bound for a timber complex in Siberia.

Mazda will export the cars through C. Itoh & Co., a Japanese trading company, which will pay Mazda cash for the cars, said Ken Haruki, a spokesman for Mazda. C. Itoh may receive timber in exchange for the cars, he said.

The cars are to be sold to the timber complex in the city of Ilimsk, Siberia, the company said in a news release.
