Actors Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert, of James Bond and Tarzan fame, Tuesday night jokingly offered Argentine President Carlos Saul Menem a role in the adventure film they are shooting in Argentina.

Menem had a long chat at Government House with the British-born Connery, the French-born Lambert and producers of the “Highlander II” film.

“It was an excellent meeting. We had lots of fun. At one point we spoke about the possibility of the president taking part in the film,” Connery told reporters.

Lambert, who played the lead role in the “Highlander” series and Tarzan in “Greystoke,” said he found Menem very warm. Menem, who is known for his love of sports and the high life, invited Connery to his home province in northwestern Argentina.
