Israel Sentences Two Soldiers for Beating Child

JERUSALEM —
A military court gave two Israeli soldiers three-month suspended jail terms for kicking a Palestinian child and stubbing out a lighted cigarette on him, the army said Thursday.
The soldiers, named as Cpl. Doron Algazi and Sgt. Maj. Yaacov Bouchbut, were convicted of improper behavior toward a 13-year-old in the West Bank city of Nablus after a clash with stone-throwers last August.
