Herschel Walker, a running back for the Minnesota Vikings, said he will join a bobsled team aiming for the 1992 Olympics after the NFL season.

Walker, along with Raider receiver Willie Gault and track stars Renaldo Nehemiah, Edwin Moses and Roger Kingdom, plan to begin bobsled workouts at Lake Placid, N.Y., after the football season.

Gault was on the U.S. Olympic team in 1988, but did not participate in the Calgary Games.
