THE SIDELINES : McEnroe Will Skip Paris Match

PARIS —
John McEnroe will not play in the French Open, an ATP spokeswomen confirmed today.
Anna Legnani said the ATP was told by McEnroe’s agent, Sergio Palmieri, that the player’s injuries will keep him out of the Grand Slam event.
McEnroe has suffered shoulder and groin problems since February and has pulled out of the last six tournaments he entered.
