Tudor, Dutch and Western Contemporary exteriors are offered in the 78-unit Applewood Estates II single-family development opening today in Apple Valley.

The first phase of the tract by Roy J. Vance Construction Inc. has 13 three- and four-bedroom houses in five one-story floor plans ranging from 1,360 to 2,118 square feet, priced from $105,900 to $145,900. The houses are on half-acre lots; first move-ins are scheduled for August.

Four furnished models are open daily, except Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 13471 Francesca Road, reached from the eastbound Bear Valley Road of the Barstow (15) Freeway in Victorville.

Murrieta Townhouses

Oak Tree Villas opens today in the golf community of Bear Creek in Murrieta, with 16 two- and three-bedroom single-level townhouses priced from $235,000 to $335,000.

The project by Hix Development Corp. offers two floor plans ranging in size from 1,720 to 1,800 square feet. Features include marble entries, vaulted ceilings, living rooms with fireplaces, formal dining rooms and master bedroom suites with skylights and wood-burning fireplaces in some plans. Each unit has a two-car attached garage with direct interior access and a golf cart storage area.

Move-ins are scheduled for next month. The monthly association fee is $170, with an additional $100 monthly charge from Bear Creek. Buyers receive a free one-year membership in the Jack Nicklaus-designed Bear Creek Golf and Country Club. Memberships are also available in the Swim and Racquet Club, which has seven tennis courts, a 25-meter pool and a spa.

The sales office is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 38334 Oak Tree Loop, reached from the westbound Clinton Keith Road exit of Interstate 15.
