* Robert Allen Skotheim, director of the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, has received honors from his alma mater, the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences, and from Illinois Wesleyan University, where he delivered the commencement address May 12.

The University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences presented Skotheim with its Distinguished Achievement Award for “his extraordinary accomplishments in professional life.” Illinois Wesleyan awarded him an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
