Mills Brothers Memorial: The town of Piqua, Ohio, dedicated a monument to some native sons, the Mills Brothers, and the only surviving member of the singing group was so touched that he wanted to take the granite statue home with him. “I’m only sorry that my brothers are not here to receive this with me but I’m sure they’re looking down,” Donald Mills, 75, said at the Sunday ceremony in front of the black granite memorial. “This is absolutely beautiful. I’d like to pick it up and take it home.” City officials erected signs at the city limits during the ceremony, proclaiming Piqua as the home of the Mills Brothers.
